Blessed by both perfect weather In Aurora, Illinois on a recent visit, I enjoyed a tour of Phillips Park and Phillips Park Zoo. The park was beautifully kept in terms of its greenery, plants, and flowers, and beautifully attended by local families and friends.
The zoo although smaller than what I'm used to back home here in New York City, did offer more animals per step at least, being able to see hawks, otters, and wild cats within minutes of each other.
